KEY ACTIVITIES
- Letter to State Ministry of Works & Fire Service: A letter was sent to the State Ministry of Works & Fire Service regarding alleged compensation payment issues for economic crops and structures on the Midim-Etim Ekpo Rd construction project.
- Meeting with Ministry Representative: Representatives of DESJI was engaged in a productive meeting with the Ministry Representative, who mandated DESJI to collate concerns for further discussion regarding alleged compensation payment issues for economic crops and structures on the Midim-Etim Ekpo Rd construction project.
UPCOMING PROJECTS
- Follow-up with Akwa Ibom Ministry of Works: Follow-up activities are lined up to ensure ensure compensation payment to aggrieved beneficiaries.
- Consultation with Ikot Abasi LGA: A follow-up consultation visit arrangement to Ikot Abasi LGA to address reported environmental and social justice infractions by operators in local communitiesis next in line.
- Membership Recruitment: Formalization of membership recruitment process via the newly launched website is ongoing and members are encourage to encouraged to visit the Website and carry out the process within this specified period.
